Week 25 MLS Picks

After a big step back on Saturday, we’ve dusted ourselves off and are ready to press forward into the full midweek slate of MLS games. The official league injury report came out this afternoon, let’s get into the Week 25 picks.

LA Galaxy

ML -110

The Galaxy are still down the trio of Dejan Jovelic, Gastón Brugman and Julián Aude, but they’re back home after the 2-0 loss in Frisco on Saturday hosting the Colorado Rapids. The Rapids will be without Djordje Mihailovic while he’s on international duty, so we like the Galaxy to bounce back in the midweek with a home victory.

Houston Dynamo

ML +135

These bums might just have one point in the Copa Tejas standings, but they’re still a solid team when healthy. On Wednesday, they’ll be as healthy as can be with just Nelson Quiñónes (out for the year with an ACL tear) on the injury report. San Jose on the other hand lists eight players out and Vitor Costa questionable. We’ll begrudgingly take the orange team to win on the road.

Austin FC

ML +265

We’re going back to our boys after seeing the FC Dallas injury report this afternoon. In addition to the key players we already knew were going to be missing, both Petar Musa and Asier Illaramendi are questionable. With Austin FC only listing the suspended Brendan Hines-Ike on their availability report and the fact they have “win Copa Tejas” on their stated list of team goals for the season, we’ll grab the Verde and Black to win and ride the vibes up I-35 tommorrow.
