Week 27 MLS Picks
MLS is back! After a break from this article during the Leagues Cup, we’re in a similar boat as our favorite team. Nine game weeks left to build on our small profit we’ve made over the course of this season. The official league injury report came out Friday afternoon, let’s get into the Week 27 picks.
Charlotte FC
ML +135
Charlotte have a clean injury report headed into Saturday’s restart. They’ll host New York Red Bulls in a jostle for playoff positioning. Red Bulls will be without talisman midfielder Emil Forsberg and even though they’ve still got a lot of talent on the pitch, so does Charlotte. We’ll ride with the home team to win.
FC Dallas
ML +330
Every time you see one of our two Texas rivals in a picks article you know it pains us to do so. But Dallas are expected to see Jesus Ferreria return to the lineup and DP winger Alan Velasco is off the injury report for the first time since his ACL injury late last season. Just one point behind Austin FC in the Western Conference standings, we’ll take Frisco to win as their fearsome attack (on paper) is finally taking shape.
Austin FC
ML +220
If you listened to Episode 168, you know we’re all in on Austin getting a big win to start the home stretch. Nashville is an inferior team, especially after each club’s respective transfer window. Austin has been atrocious on the road this season but have looked great this month with wins over Pumas and Rayados before a competitive match with LAFC on the road. Austin to bring home the victory.
