Week 34 MLS Picks
What a showing in the midweek! Our best single matchday of the year has us flying back into the black with two weeks left in the MLS regular season. The goal of profiting from a full season’s worth of picks is in sight. The official league injury report for Saturday’s games came out Friday afternoon, let’s dive into the Week 34 picks.
New York Red Bulls

Some familiar names littering the picks this weekend. The Red Bulls are a different team when Emil Forsberg is healthy and we saw that play out in the midweek with the 4-1 road victory over Toronto FC. They’ll take on a desperate Atlanta United team on the road, who are a shell of their former selves after multiple big summer sales. With no new additions to the NYRB injury report on Friday, we’re going to ride with the road team to make it two in a row.
Inter miami

Messi & Co. clinched the Supporter’s Shield on Wednesday with a 3-2 road victory over reigning MLS Cup champs Columbus Crew. They may rotate in this one, but get this. Miami has a higher points per game this season with Messi unavailable! This is likely the deepest team in league history and we’ll take them to win for the second time in as many matchdays.
Vancouver Whitecaps

Ryan Gauld is off the injury report and expected to make his return to the Vancouver lineup at home against Minnesota. Both teams have clinched a postseason spot but are dueling on Saturday to stay out of the wild card game. The ‘Caps will be without Fafa Picault due to his midweek red card, but we’re going to hitch a unit to the home team to get back on track with their talisman midfielder healthy.
Real Salt Lake

RSL is currently in fourth in the Western Conference but can climb as high as the second seed with two wins and some help the rest of the way. They’ve got a fantastic matchup against the wooden spoon winners, San Jose Earthquakes. While the Quakes will host this game, Salt Lake at plus-money against the worst team in MLS feels like stealing.
