Took a small step backwards on the weekend, but we’re in luck. Another double game week is upon us, meaning an immediate opportunity to turn the tide back in our favor. The official league injury report came out this evening, let’s jump into the Week 16 picks.

Inter Miami

-1.5 (+110)

Inter Miami is expected to see Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets return to the pitch against Atlanta after not traveling to Vancouver on Saturday. The Five Stripes are still without DP striker Georgios Giakoumakis and are reeling, coming into this one on a nine game winless streak of league games. We’re going to bet on that streak continuing in a big way against the most talented roster MLS has ever seen.

Austin FC

ML +110 

The Verde and Black have been quite good at home after their opening night dud against Minnesota, taking 17 of 21 possible points at Q2 Stadium since, tied for the most in the Western Conference. We’re leaning into the good vibes continuing in Central Texas. 

Seattle Sounders

ML -105 

Don’t look now, but the Sounders have snuck their way up into a wild card position just before we hit the halfway point of the regular season this weekend. Hosting first place Real Salt Lake doesn’t look great on paper, but they’re expected to see the return of Pedro De La Vega after missing last Saturday’s game. They’ll also get Nouhou back from suspension. Seattle to win.
