Week 31 MLS Picks
We were able to stop the bleeding in the midweek and pick up a unit, thanks in large part to this sneaky free kick goal from our rivals to the north. The official league injury report came out Friday afternoon, let’s dive into the Week 31 picks.
Austin FC
ML +170
It’s been “do or die” for Austin FC for a while now, but now we’re sprinkling in the intrastate rivalry with Houston Dynamo into the mix on Saturday. Both teams are playing their third match in eight days, but Austin has some fresh legs returning to the lineup from suspension, including Sebastián Driussi. In a must win situation, we’re going full homer for this one. ATX to win.
Philadelphia Union
ML -125
Philly finds themselves tied with their Sunday opponents, DC United, on 33 points in the Eastern Conference. That’s good enough for ninth and the final wild card spot for now, but things are extremely tight, with just two points separating the Union in ninth from CF Montreal in 13th. We’ll ride with the Union at Subaru Park to take care of business against a DC side that has given up a whopping 57 goals in 29 games.
